Have I told you all about the loveliness that is Laura-Hughes.com?

She is my last and best student, a photographer whose work will soon be featured prominently on the forthcoming album by the band South.
And with that plug, I abadon thee, oh web design education, for the wilds of proposal management at this architecture firm.

Music ahoy, mateys!![]()
Well, tomorrow is Den of Size's world prémiére, hot off the heels of our very first published bit of music criticism yesterday (53 words in the Voice... not an especially flattering review, but not terribly damaging, either. Just sort of curious: my voice is "icy?" No credit for drums in 13/15 time? The band is "New-Age?" Eh? Apparently the reviewer, Chuck Eddy, tends to go for more death metal, and it's surprising he reviewed us at all. Also, I suspect he was high when he wrote the review.)
All this rockstardom is going to my head! So many albums to make, so much piano to learn, so many nifty computer tricks to try... I think I'll start a record label! Off to the printer's now, to pick up covers!

Things I've almost blogged recently, in great detail, that won't get posted anytime soon:
- About a recentl pit-stop to the United Nations, whose glory remains undimmed by the shabby-chic Scandanavian interiors, crumbling away under the watchful eye of so many security guards.
- A short story called "No Giftpack," about a series of hair models who have signed up for a giftpack if they allow themselves to be guinea pigs for a new line of shampoo products. Think "Handmaid's Tale" against a L'Oreal hegemonic superpower in the realm of beauty.
- A paen to Roger Evans, author of How to Play Piano; the clarity of his introduction to music, his selection of pieces to play, his handy little tips on finger placement have got me tinkling the ivories. It's not too late to learn, and it improves your typing!
- Many, many, many raging rants about politics.
- A plug for my student, who just got her site up and running. Her photos look even more beautiful when you see them at three-feet by three-feet. (It's nice to type that out.)
